The Department of Tourism with the United Nations World Tourism Organization has recently spearheaded a seminar on managing tourism destinations with full attendance of the tourism department’s top executives. The seminar is aimed at enhancing skills on tourism planning and development with key emphasis on formulating strategies on destination positioning and branding while addressing the impacts of tourism to environment, culture and communities. Officials who attended include Tourism Secretary Ace Durano, Robert Cleverdon and Michael Fabricius of UNWTO, Undersecretary Oscar Palabyab and the Regional Directors of the DOT. PRESS RELEASE
