Pearl
Farm now attracts corporate clients
March, 2006
Pearl Farm Beach Resort, a world-class tourism destination
in the Island Garden City of Samal in Davao, has put
up new investments to accommodate corporate gatherings
and other large events.
Juan Rocha, an executive of Fuego Hotels and Properties
Management Corp., which manages the Florendo-owned Pearl
Farm, said new investments have recently been made to
enable the resort to host corporate meetings and large
events such as weddings.
"We are positioning it as a place for corporate
functions, seminars and large events," he said.
Rocha, who is also the general manager at Pearl Farm,
said the resort has three function rooms and boardrooms
with excellent facilities and equipments that can seat
up to 70 persons.
Rocha cited as an example the recent corporate meeting
held by executives of food company CDO-Foodsphere Inc.
at Pearl Farm on February 9 to 11.
CDO-Foodsphere assistant vice president and general
manager Marites Escarcha said 37 executives of the company
conducted its planning and team building sessions at
the resort, where they participated in an exchange of
ideas on how to further grow the business.
"The villas are well-maintained, the food is great,
and the service is superb," Escarcha said of their
stay at Pearl Farm.
Rocha said that aside from corporate meetings, Pearl
Farm has been the favorite destination of couples spending
their honeymoon, family members on vacation, and individual
tourists taking a time off from their hectic schedule.
He said half of guests at Pearl Farm are Filipinos and
the other half are foreign tourists. Two out of five
foreign tourists in the resort are Koreans, most of
them couples.
Pearl Farm is just 45 minutes by ferryboat from the
wharf, near the modern Davao International Airport.
Rocha said there are three trips to and from the resort
daily.
Aside from Pearl Farm, Fuego Hotels and Properties also
manages three world-class tourism destinations in Southern
Luzon, namely: Taal Vista Hotel, Club Punta Fuego and
Terrazas de Punta Fuego. PRESS RELEASE
