Roxaco Land Corp. plans to invest in resort development in Bohol and Palawan.  The company is now reportedly in discussions with landowners in Bohol and Palawan on a potential joint venture in the tourism business.
Company president Pedro Roxas said the company has recently broken ground on its resort community development in Tagaytay City. The project, Anya Resort and Residences, is a six-hectare upscale development that offers a second-home in a resort community setting.

All Hands Beach Resort Subic

The Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has awarded the management of the 5,600-square meter All Hands Beach Resort to Brighterday Subic Ltd., Inc. (BSLI). The resort is formerly operated by the Freeport Service Corporation (FSC) which is located in a private cove.  SBMA said BSLI pledged to invest PhP10 million within five years to immediately improve the condition of the beach resort.

Property developer Ayala Land, Inc. plans to complete the rehabilitation of its 43-room Pangulasian Resort in El Nido, Palawan next year.  The company has also announced its entry into the El Nido-based Ten Knots in April 2010, infusing money equivalent to 60 percent of the latter’s interest.
The company intends to open more “eco-tourism” projects in Palawan in 2011.  Under a joint venture with the operator of the El Nido Resorts, Ayala Land said it intends to infuse more equity into existing projects while retaining the brands.  “We would like to continue with the buildup in El Nido. We have Lagen island and Miniloc and would like to do some more island resorts in that area,” Ayala Land president Antonino Aquino was quoted as saying.

Roxaco Land Corp., the property arm of sugar producer Roxas and Co., Inc. is planning a number of tourism and residential projects to expand its business.  Its joint venture projects include the 88-hectare residential beach resort Peninsula de Punta Fuego and the 61-hectare seafront property Terrazas de Punta Fuego, both in Nasugbu, Batangas.  It said more projects will allow Roxaco to raise revenues by as much as half every year in the next three years.

M Castle to build US$1 billion resort

Korean developer M Castle Philippines Ltd. Co. has proposed to build a resort in Subic Bay Freeport at a cost of US$1 billion.  M Castle will develop a 615-hectare property at the nearby town of Morong in Bataan.
