Biliran destinations, hotels and resorts

Almeria town in Biliran is intensifying the promotion of its little-known tourism destinations.  Municipal councilor Leonel Morillo, who chairs the council’s committee on tourism, said that several spots, such as the waterfalls in the villages of Sampao and Caucab, have remained largely unknown to local and foreign tourists.
"All of these destinations are accessible. We are ready to accommodate tourists now; that’s why we have been intensifying our promotion activities," he was quoted as saying. The plan also involves developing Dalutan, an uninhabited island with a white-sand beach that can be reached via a 15-minute boat ride from the town.  Another tourist spot is the man-made Iyusan Rice Terraces, which were patterned after the rice terraces of Mountain Province.
