Set amidst a specially designed open walk-through with a multi-level viewing facility, the sea lions are housed through a Marine Life Habitat simulated to depict their natural habitat of rocky cliffs and beaches.
Also known as Southern Sea Lions, Otaria Flavescens, these tropical species are usually found along the coasts and offshore islands of South America. Interestingly, the name “sea lion” was derived from the fact that they not only bark like dogs, but also roar like lions. Sea lions have life expectancy of 20 years in the wild and up to 30 years in captivity.
