MANILA – Improvements were seen in the number of people who were able to recover their jobs or earn a living as more of the economy was gradually reopened late last year and in early 2021, according to the country’s economic managers.

MANILA – The National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) supports the localized quarantine measures in areas showing high transmission rates as directed by Resolution No. 104 of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases.

While the inflation rate increased from 4.2 percent in January to 4.7 percent in February 2021, the inflation target remains at 2 to 4 percent as the government intensifies efforts to address higher food prices, said the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).
