Seda Hotel chain of the Ayala Group is considering expanding its network to Bacolod City upon the completion next year of Seda Atria in Iloilo, its first property in the Visayas.
“We are studying the viability of opening a hotel here because we believe Bacolod City is a potential location for our Seda hotels,” said Mr. Andrea Mastellone, Seda group general manager. “We would love to have a Seda flag in Bacolod. We are working on it and hopefully one day we will.”
He said Seda Atria in Iloilo will open in time for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meetings next year. Iloilo has been chosen to host two meetings. The Iloilo hotel is among six properties that Seda will open in the next four years to provide nearly 2,000 additional rooms. The others are Seda Vertis North in Quezon City; Seda Circuit in Makati City; Seda Arca South in Taguig City; Seda Lio in Northern Palawan City; and Seda City Gate in Makati City, which is targeted to open in 2018.
