Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Iloilo

Megaworld Corp., one of the major property developers in the Philippines, is building a new hotel called Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at the 72-hectare Iloilo Business Park in Iloilo City.

The 15-story, 314-room hotel will offer first-class accommodation to business and leisure travelers in Western Visayas.  It will be the second hotel to rise in Megaworld’s township development in Iloilo.

The company earlier announced the construction of Richmonde Hotel at Iloilo Business Park. Richmonde Hotel is a 12-story building offering 151 guest rooms.

“This is another milestone for Iloilo Business Park. Our development in Iloilo is a showcase of our company’s commitment to uplifting the Ilonggo lifestyle to a whole new level,” Megaworld vice president Jericho Go said. 

“The quality of service of Courtyard by Marriott is legendary and will help to lift the level of accommodation and leisure in Iloilo City,” Mr. Go said.

“This is the first Courtyard by Marriott hotel in the Philippines. We are happy and very excited that our fastest-growing brand in the Marriott group will rise in Iloilo Business Park,” said Mr. Peter Gassner, director for hotel development in Asia-Pacific of Marriott International.

Iloilo Business Park is a P25 billion township project of Megaworld in Western Visayas.

Aside from hotels, the Iloilo Business Park would also have high-end residential condominiums, business process outsourcing office towers, a lifestyle mall, a 1.1-kilometer commercial strip, open parks, transport hub, and the Iloilo Convention Center.
