Emirates Airlines to stop flights to Clark

Emirates Airlines will stop flying between Dubai and Clark in Pampanga on 1st May this year, seven months after it launched the operations at the Clark International Airport.

“Emirates can confirm that it is suspending its daily, non-stop service between Clark International Airport and Dubai from 1st May 2014. The decision was made after a review of the airline’s operations to ensure the best utilisation of its aircraft fleet for its overall business objectives," Emirates Spokesman Maria Elena Alba said.

The airline company, however, said it would continue to operate its flights between Manila and Dubai to serve the local market.  “Emirates will continue to operate its three daily, non-stop flights between Manila and Dubai and is taking all necessary steps to accommodate affected passengers on alternate flights," Ms. Alba said.

The largest carrier in the Middle East started its non-stop, daily service between Dubai and Clark International Airport, the airline’s second destination in the Philippines, in October 2013.
