Kidzania at the Fort Bonifacio

ABS-CBN Theme Parks and Resorts Inc. is bringing in Kidzania, Mexico’s fastest-growing theme park for children, in the Philippines and is investing at least PhP1 billion to build a facility in Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

The theme park is expected to start operations in November next year and about 500 people will be employed by the replica of a real city that is expected to cater to 600,000 visitors annually with a daily foot traffic of 1,500.

Play Innovations Inc., which has bought the franchise to operate the facility in the country, is 73-percent owned by ABS-CBN Theme Parks and Resorts Inc. and the rest of 27 percent is owned by a group of investors from Singapore.

Kidzania is being marketed for kids aged four to 14 years old, offering role-playing games mostly on learning about different careers, the inner-workings of a city and the concept of managing money.

Kidzania has 13 locations in 10 countries, including Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia in Southeast Asia.
