No minors in Philippine hotels

Justice Secretary Leila de Lima has set a meeting with owners and operators of hotels and resorts in the country to inform them about a new policy disallowing Filipino minors from entering and staying inside the rooms of foreign guests not related to them.  The policy is the recommendation laid down by the Interagency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT).

“Especially the resorts, and those small hotels and inns because, in many cases, pedophiles use small hotels to cover their acts due to less strict rules,” said Secretary de Lima.
