PAL Stops Domestic Flights
Philippine Airlines (PAL) stopped most of its domestic flights beginning Aug. 1, to concentrate on its international flights. It transferred its passengers to budget unit PAL Express.

Visitors looking for a fine beach destination are in for a treat at Laiya Beach in San Juan, Batangas. Located about 130 kilometers south of Metro Manila, Laiya can be reached in just two hours and 30 minutes by car. San Juan is located in the southeastern portion of Batangas province, bounded by Tayabas Bay and Verde Passage on the east.
