Survivor Cagayan Boosts Tourism

Popular American reality TV series Survivor, which was filmed on the idyllic Palaui Island in Cagayan province, began airing its new season, “Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty” on 27th February 2014.

Filipino film producers who joined the production said USA Survivor’s 27th and 28th seasons were filmed at Palaui Island, showcasing the sustainable tourism initiative of Cagayan Economic Zone Authority in Sta. Ana, Cagayan.

Philippine Film Studios Inc. President Lope Juban Jr. said Palaui Island is the perfect location for filming the Survivor series produced by CBS of USA.

Palaui drew the attention of the Survivor producers because of its breath-taking natural sceneries, diverse ecosystem of flora and fauna, and extensive coral reefs. Palaui has managed to preserve its pristine beauty in the midst of development happening in the mainland of Sta. Ana, Cagayan.
