Admiral Hotel to become MGallery Hotel Manila

Anchor Land Holdings Inc. is spending over PhP1 billion to rebuild the historic Admiral Hotel along Roxas Boulevard in Manila into a five-star boutique hotel.

Anchor Land Vice Chairman Steve Li said the company has tapped Accor group to manage the 150-room hotel.  Mr. Li said the redevelopment of Admiral Hotel would start in the third quarter of 2014 and would be completed by the last quarter of 2016.

Mr. Li said Anchor Land chose Accor to manage the hotel because of the latter’s strong branding and expertise in the hotel service industry.  He aid Admiral Hotel would be the first MGallery Hotel in the Philippines, under the Accor group.

“We are delighted that the Admiral Boutique Hotel will join the MGallery Collection of unique hotels,” Mr. Patrick Basset, COO for Accor Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and the Philippines said in a statement.  “Once complete, this enchanting, historical hotel situated in a marvellous location in Manila will be the perfect showcase accommodation of what the MGallery hotel brand has to offer. Upscale, sophisticated guests seeking unique and personalised experiences will be captivated by its history and elegance.”
