Clark airport expands

The government has inaugurated the Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) Terminal 1 expansion project that increased the passenger capacity of the terminal for the added convenience of travelers using Clark as gateway, according to a report by BusinessMirror.

With the completion of the project, the terminal can now accommodate an additional 700,000 passengers annually or a total of 2 million passengers, which is expected to attract more foreign and local airlines.  The second floor of the terminal houses two passenger boarding bridges. The improved structure also features Flight Information Display Systems; closed-circuit televisions; public television; background music and a public address system; X-ray machines; and, elevators and escalators. The terminal also now has a wider passenger lounge and concessionaires’ area.
